Competitive Pricing

You’re probably wondering how much we charge. The short answer is it depends.

We’ll either quote you for the project (scope of work) or charge you an hourly rate based on your needs. Here’s how we determine the pricing model.

If you’re worried about cost, we understand. Other groups in Lexington, KY, and surrounding areas charge a dragon’s hoard.

Mini Chest

Luckily, we’re not like other groups. We don’t work for free, but we can work within your budget.

Hourly

  • New client relationships
    • When working with a new client, if we’re unsure of their communication style, decision-making process, or expectations, hourly billing can reduce risk until trust is established.
  • Unclear or evolving scope
    • If the project requirements are vague, likely to change, or involve significant unknowns, charging by the hour ensures we’re compensated for the time spent adapting to changes or clarifying details.
  • Exploratory or consulting work
    • For work that involves research, strategy, or consulting, where the outcome is uncertain, or the process is iterative, hourly billing aligns payment with the effort invested.
  • Small or one-off tasks
    • It’s often simpler to charge by the hour for quick, one-time tasks or minor adjustments rather than creating a detailed scope of work.
  • Complex or high-risk projects
    • If the project involves significant complexity, technical challenges, or external dependencies that could increase the time required, hourly billing ensures we’re paid for unforeseen complications.
  • Ongoing or open-ended work
    • For ongoing support, maintenance, or work without a precise end date, hourly billing is often more practical than trying to define a fixed scope.

Scope of Work

  • Well-defined projects
    • If the scope is clear and unlikely to change, a fixed quote is often better for us and the client.
  • Value-based pricing
    • If the value of the work far exceeds the time invested (e.g., creating a high-impact marketing campaign), a fixed fee or value-based pricing may be more appropriate.
  • Efficiency penalty
    • We’re highly skilled and can usually complete the work quickly. Hourly billing can undervalue our expertise. You’re paying for our wealth of experience, not only the time it takes us to complete a project.
