That’s a great question, champ. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a few weeks now. Lowering your cart abandonment rate will always be good, but how much revenue could you stand to generate from it? Our survey says… a lot, probably.
Getting an accurate estimate for the lift you could realize can be helpful when you’re politely asking for a not-so-insignificant amount of money to improve your company’s website or throw it away and build a new one.
Sure, I can calculate it on my own, but it annoys me that if I Google “calculate revenue from reducing abandoned cart rate,” there isn’t a magical calculator on the first page that’ll do it for me. I could use AI, I suppose, but I’m really tired of talking to Skynet and making it fix things it should’ve done correctly the first time I asked. This is why I don’t say thanks to AI and also why I’ll be the first one hunted down when it rises up against us.
So what’s the solution? I vibe-coded a calculator to do it for me and figured I’d share it with the world. Does it work? Yes. Is it good? I highly doubt it; AI did create it, after all.
